RESTORE's services are for people in other countries in need of reconstructive surgery. The organization aims to restore hope and aesthetic form that once existed to individuals, or to improve the aesthetic form to "how it ought to be," said Dr. Obeng. RESTORE deals with Breast Anatomy and Aesthetics, Breast Cancer, and Breast Reconstruction. The first trip in February 2008 was to survey the medical landscape and to also give lectures on Management of Acute Burn Injuries, Reconstruction of Burn patients, Anatomy of the Hand and Management of Traumatic Hand Injuries. RESTORE also performed some skin graft surgeries. Last year's theme was on Congenital Breast Deformities, Breast Cancer and Breast Reconstruction. It was more productive because of better organization on both ends. RESTORE has performed about 15 operations ranging from correction of congenital breast deformities to mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction.
